BD eves’ V’ball team leave for Nepal

A 17-member Bangladesh Women's Volleyball team left Dhaka for Nepal Wednesday to participate in the First South Asian Women's Volleyball Championship to be held on December 19-23 in Kathmandu at the covered hall of Nepal National Sports Council, report UNB.
Six countries-India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Maldives and host Nepal-will compete in the regional Volleyball meet, initially on league basis. Later, two top teams will play in the final.
Bangladesh National Women's Volleyball team trained for about five weeks from November 10 at Sultana Kamal Women's Sports Complex in the city's Dhanmondi.
The Nepal-bound Bangladesh team comprised 12 players and five officials.
Bangladesh Women's Volleyball team: Officials - Narayan Chandra Devnath (Team Leader), Syeda Jannat Ara (Manager), Zaidul Alam and Reza Ahmed Raja (Team Officials), and Zakir Hossain (Coach).
Players - Aleya Khatun (Captain), Sibbi Khatun (Vice-Captain), Shahida Parvin, Suchana Parvin, Nusrat Jahan Nishi, Sharmin Parvin, Soheli Sultana, Lucky Khatun, Mimmi Khatun, Toma Khatun, Rubina Sultana and Asha.
