BD export exceeds US$30b: Tofail

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed on Monday said the country’s export has now surpassed US$ 30 billion as the government is working to boost export in line with its 6th five-year plan. The minister said this when a visiting delegation of International Monetary Fund (IMF), headed by its Deputy Division Chief (Asia and Pacific Department) Podrigo Cubero, met him at his ministry office. Podrigo Cubero exchanged views with the minister about reforms of country’s financial sector, said a PID handout, according to a news agency.
