BD, Finland joint efforts to fight climate challenges stressed

President Abdul Hamid has said Bangladesh and Finland need to work together as both the countries are facing massive climate change challenges.
The President said this when Ambassador-designate of Finland in Bangladesh (non-resident) Aapo Polho presented his credentials to the President at Bangabhaban in the city on Wednesday, reports UNB.
President Abdul Hamid requested the envoy to help Bangladesh with Finish technology in shipbuilding sector and export of cheaper small and medium ships to Finland.
The envoy praised Bangladesh for its contribution to the UN peacekeeping missions.
Secretaries concerned of the President's Office were present during the meeting.
Earlier, on his arrival at Bangabhaban, the ambassador was given a guard of honor by a contingent of the President's Guard Regiment.
