BD holds reception for Japanese lawmakers, business leaders

The Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo organized a reception in honour of the members of the reconstituted Japan-Bangladesh Parliamentary Friendship League at the city's prestigious International House of Japan on Tuesday evening.
More than 25 Diet members and 20 Japanese business leaders from companies like Mitsubishi, Toshiba, Toray, Marubeni and Obayashi etc, who accompanied Prime Minister Abe during his recent visit to Bangladesh, were present in the programme.
Deputy Prime Minister of Japan and President of Japan-Bangladesh Parliamentary Friendship League Taro Aso was present as the chief guest.
He appreciated the recent launching of 'Comprehensive Partnership' between Bangladesh and Japan.
He also expressed gratitude for Bangladesh's withdrawal of candidature for non-permanent membership of the UN Security Council in support of Japan.
Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Shiro Sadoshima also spoke on the occasion.
