Bangladesh reported 94 more Covid-19 cases in the 24 hours until Friday morning, reports UNB.
With the new numbers, the country's total caseload rose to 20,40,212, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
However, the official death toll from the disease remained unchanged at 29,451 as no new fatalities were reported.
The daily case test positivity dropped to 7.74 per cent from Wednesday's 8.21 per cent as 1,214 samples were tested.
The recovery rate stands at 98.35 per cent. However, the death rate remained unchanged at 1.44 per cent.
Bangladesh registered its highest daily caseload of 16,230 on July 28 in 2021 and highest number of fatalities of 264 on August 10 the same year.
Meanwhile, eleven more people were hospitalised with dengue in 24 hours until Friday morning.
Of the new patients, nine were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and the rest outside it, according to the DGHS.
Five-hundred and ten dengue patients, including 439 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
So far, the DGHS has recorded 2,865 dengue cases, 2, 334 recoveries, and 21 deaths this year.
