BD mission in Vienna opens

The government opened the first diplomatic mission in Vienna Saturday aiming at giving its four-decade-old bilateral relationship with Austria a new momentum.
In a statement on this occasion, the Bangladesh Embassy in Vienna expressed deep appreciation to the government of Austria for their valuable support and cooperation for opening the resident diplomatic mission in Vienna.
The government of Austria also extended their warm greetings and felicitations to the government of Bangladesh wishing success in the functioning of the new embassy in Vienna.
An official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said with this, more than 60 Bangladesh missions including deputy high commissions and consulate offices are functioning abroad to improve the diplomatic relationship with these countries.
Recently, the MoFA has declared to open three new Bangladesh missions to Austria, Poland and Denmark. Two other mission offices are yet to be opened.
