BD national held hostage by ISIS

The Bangladesh Embassy in Tripoli has taken initiatives to find out whereabouts of a Bangladeshi national who has been held hostage by Islamic group ISIS in Libya.
The ministry of foreign affairs (MoFA) confirmed the incident of Helal Uddin (passport number B0156553 and a resident of Jamalpur district) through the Bangladesh Embassy on Monday.
According to the Bangladesh Embassy in Tripoli, the incident took place when gunmen invaded the Al-Ghani oil field, south of the city Sirte of Libya on Friday killing 11 guards, beheading a number of them before local forces fought back to retake control.
Helal was abducted along with eight other foreign nationals.
The MoFA is closely monitoring the incident with Bangladesh Embassy in Tripoli which is now in close contact with National Oil Company (NOC) of Libya.
