BD peacekeeper killed in Mali

A Bangladeshi peacekeeper was killed and another injured as miscreants opened fire at a jeep of Bangladeshi Transport Contingent under the UN peacekeeping mission in Mali's capital Bamako on Monday, reports UNB.
The deceases was identified as Shri Nilkanto Hajong, a soldier of the Bangladesh Army.
A statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) said a jeep of Bangladesh Transport Contingent of the UN peacekeeping mission in Mali's capital Bamako suddenly came under a gunfire attack by miscreants at 7.0pm (local time) Monday.  The attack left soldier Shri Nilkanto Hajong dead.  Another soldier of the contingent, Sirajul Islam, was also injured in the attack.
Sirajul Islam is receiving treatments at Level-2 Hospital in Bamako, said the statement.
