BD products may get easy access to Kunming mkt

Secretary of China Communist Party of Kunming Province Qin Guangrong on Saturday assured Bangladesh of taking effective steps for the easy access of Bangladesh products to Kunming market. Qin Guangrong gave the assurance when he along with other leaders of the China Communist Party Kunming Province committee met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her hotel suite in the evening. Prime Minister’s Press Secretary AKM Shameem Chowdhury briefed reporters after the meeting. He said Qin Guangrong said Bangladesh products have a high demand in Kunming, and underscored the need for enhancing people-to-people contact between China and Bangladesh to boost trade, particularly with Kunming, to reduce the huge trade gap between the two countries. During the meeting, Sheikh Hasina termed Kunming as the closest neighbour and stressed establishing an effective connectivity between Bangladesh and Kunming via Myanmar, according to a news agency.
