BD-Red Abason Fair begins in Ctg Nov 13

CHITTAGONG, Nov 9: A three-day Chittagong BD-Red (Bangladesh Real Estate Directory) Abason Fair will begin at the city's Engineers Institution on November 13.
This was disclosed by Chief Executive of BD-Red Md Yasin Khan at a press conference in the city today (Sunday).
Sponsored by Bashudha Builders, the fair will be co-sponsored by Amin Mohammed Group, AirBell Development Technologies, RF Builders, Bashukunja Group, Nazrul Group, RAK Ceramics, Asian Town Development, Berger Paints Bangladesh, Shima Steel Re-rolling Mills (SARM) and Secure Property Management.
A total of 40 real estate construction material production companies will take part in the fair.
Private TV channel Bangla Vision and Radio Today will act as media partner, while Adda Restaurant will be the food partner.
Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) M Manjur Alam will formally inaugurate the fair as the chief guest on the day, while Chairman of IEB Engineer Manjare Khurshed Alam will be present at the closing ceremony as the chief guest on November 15.
Deputy Editor of Amader Abason, a publication of the BD-Red, Professor Nazrul Islam, Nazrul Group Chairman Nazrul Islam, Azizur Rahman of Bashudha Builders and representative of Amin Mohammed Group spoke at the conference.
The conference was told that BD-Red has been organising the fair for the last 12 years. For the first time the fair is going to be held for middle-income and low-income group people in the port city.
The organisers said that they have sold about 5000 plots and flats in Chittagong since inception and expect better results from the fair this year as well.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr Yasin Khan said banks and insurance companies having vast amount of unutilised money can come forward with their loan support at easy interest rates to the middle-income and low-income people.
The government policies for the house building and real estate development sector should be more liberal which will help the poor have a house of their own on purchased flats, they observed.
In reply to a query that some flat and plot sellers and developers have been deceiving the buyers, Mr Khan said BD-Red is fully aware of such illegal practices and will ensure no one buying flats or plots from companies under BD-Red will be deceived.
