Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Wednesday sought more FDI from the US in the fields of education, women's development and ICT. The minister came up with the request when Charge de Affaires of US Embassy in Dhaka Jon Danilowicz met him at his office. Mustafa Kamal said there are many areas where the US government and its entrepreneurs could enhance their investment to a large extent, especially in the fields of education, women's development and ICT. Jon Danilowicz said the US is looking for potential investment sectors like the country's women's empowerment, youth development and ICT on public-private partnership initiatives. He said Dell, a US company, is willing to provide laptops to 0.1 million women of the country under the 'One Family One woman' project under the supervision of Post, Telecommunications and ICT ministries, according to a news agency.
