Bangladesh reported two more COVID-19-linked deaths and 75 fresh cases in 24 hours until Monday morning, reports UNB.
With the new numbers, the country's total fatalities rose to 29,450 and caseload to 2,039,714, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The daily case test positivity rate dropped to 5.83 per cent from Sunday's 7.64 per cent as 1,283 samples were tested.
The recovery rate stands at 98.37 per cent. However, the death rate remained unchanged at 1.44 per cent.
Meanwhile, one more person died from dengue in the 24 hours until Monday morning, reports.
With the new number, the official death toll from dengue rose to 17 this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Also, 101 more people were hospitalised with dengue in the same period.
Of the new patients, 87 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and the rest outside it.
Three-hundred-ninety-two dengue patients, including 336 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country. So far, the DGHS has recorded 2, 477 dengue cases, 2, 068 recoveries, and 17 deaths this year.
