BD swimmers meet BSF president at Naval headquarters
They will leave the city for Jakarta on August 18

The 18th Asian Games-bound Bangladesh swimming team made a courtesy call with the President of Bangladesh Swimming Federation and Chief of Bangladesh Navy Admiral Nizamuddin Ahmed at the Naval Headquarters at Banani in the city on Monday, reports UNB.
A 163-member contingent including 117 sportsmen and two swimmers will represent Bangladesh in the 45-nation 18th version of the games. The tournament will start in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang from August 18 to September 2.
Out of the 40 discipline of sports, Bangladesh will compete in 14 sports--Archery, Athletics, Basketball, Golf, Football, Beach Volleyball, Bridge, Hockey, Kabaddi, Shooting, Swimming, Weightlifting, Wresting and Rowing.
Bangladedsh swimming team consists of two swimmers Mohammad Mahfizur Rahman and Khatiza Akhter Bristi and a coach-cum-manager Nibedita Das.
They will leave the capital for Jakarta on Saturday (August 18) at 2.00 am by a Malaysian Airlines flight.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Swimming Federation MB Saif and Korean Swimming Coach of Bangladesh team T Park were also present on the occasion.
