BD to be \\\'tourism hub in SE Asia in future\\\'

Chairman of Bangladesh Foundation for Tourism Development (BFTD) HM Hakim Ali expressed the hope that in future Bangladesh will be the tourism hub in South East Asia.
The BFID chair said this while speaking at a press conference in the city recently organised on the occasion of a Tourism Road Show being held in Agartala, Tripura, India between November 14 and November 17, said a press release.
BFTD and Bangladesh Inbound Tour Operators' Association (BITOA) organised the conference.
Chairman of BFTD Hakim Ali and President of BITOA Rezaul Ekram conducted the conference.
BFTD, BITOA and Tripura Tourism Development Forum (TTDF) in association with Tripura Tourism Development Corporation (TTDCL) are holding the Tourism Road Show.
A total of 18 tour operators are taking part in the show.
During the Road Show press conference, rally and business session between stakeholders of both the countries will be held.
Tour operators from other North Eastern states of India will also be joining the road show. A seminar on 'Sub Regional tourism circuits linking North Eastern States of India-Bangladesh and Myanmar' will also be organised during the show.
TTDCL will also organise FAM tour for the operators of Bangladesh introducing the places of interest of Tripura.
The aim of the event is to encourage tourists of both the countries to visit places of interest and establish tourism business network with stakeholders of North Eastern states of India and Bangladesh.
