Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said Bangladesh will become 'a place of slaughterers' rejoice', if the fallen autocratic ruler Sheikh Hasina can make revival in the country.
People of the country will not be able to live here, if Awami League (AL) is rehabilitated.
He made the comments while distributing leaflets among people - to create public awareness on dengue - at Elephant Road in the capital on Monday.
"When someone talks about resurgence of the fascist Sheikh Hasina, a terrible message goes to the people. When an adviser asks AL to reshape its own house, it also gives a dangerous message," he said.
"The people of the country couldn't live here, if the persons involved in creating the 'ayna ghar', mass killings and enforced disappearances are rehabilitated. Democracy, freedom of speech, etc, will go to the graveyard forever."
Rizvi said it is being informed from different social media that the interim government is trying to rehabilitate the collaborators of the ousted fascist Sheikh Hasina.
"An ambassador was posted in Qatar. He collected information about the persons' political identities, as most of the Bangladeshis living in the Middle-East are BNP supporters," he maintained.
"The envoy harassed the expatriate Bangladeshis and BNP supporters living in Qatar. He didn't renew their visas. We have heard that this person was made secretary at the ministry of foreign affairs. So, who is the interim government rehabilitating?"
BNP Swechchchasebak Affairs Secretary Mir Sarafat Ali Sopu and Health Affairs Secretary Rafiqul Islam were present, among others.
