BD to further deepen ties with China: Ashraf

Awami League General Secretary and LGRD Minister Syed Ashraful Islam on Monday said Bangladesh wants to further deepen its ties with China.
“Though the ties between Bangladesh and China had suffered a setback during Bangladesh’s Liberation War, now there exists a friendly relation. Now China is our very close friend. It’ll be deepened further in the future,” he said.
Syed Ashraf said this while talking to journalists after a meeting with a delegation of Communist Party of China at Hotel Sonargaon in the city, a news agency report said.
The Awami League leader said: “Not only in politics, our involvement with China in other areas has also increased,” he added.
