BD Venture elects new chairman

M. Ehsanul Haque has been elected chairman of BD Venture Limited in its Board of Directors meeting held recently at its office in Banani, according to a statement.
He has over thirty six years of work experience in the financial industry in Bangladesh, India and Afghanistan, of which thirteen years as CEO and Managing Director of BRAC Bank, BRAC Afghanistan Bank, IDCOL, Prime Bank and Mercantile Bank. He started his career as a management trainee in Grindlays Bank Plc (now Standard Chartered Bank).
He is currently engaged in financial, development advisory and consultancy services with International NGO's and commercial organisations.
Mr. Haque is president of Baridhara Society. He is adjunct faculty at Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management and Life Member of Bangladesh Economic Association.
Mr. Haque earned post graduate degree in Economics from Jahangirnagar University.
BD Venture is a venture capital company registered with BSEC as Alternative Investment Fund Manager focusing small and medium enterprises.
