BD will also impose sanctions: FM

Bangladesh will also impose sanctions against those who will impose sanctions against the country, Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen has said.
The foreign ministry will take preparations in this regard in due time, he told journalists at the ministry on Wednesday, returning home after visiting the United States and United Kingdom.
"Of course, we will also impose sanctions against those who will impose sanctions on us," he said in response to a question.
Asked about the nature of sanctions the government is considering, he said that it will be devised as and when necessary.
Responding to another question, the FM said the government is not at all worried about the US visa restrictions imposed against some individuals of Bangladesh.
"The US visa policy says that those who undermine the process of free and fair election will face the restrictions. We're committed to hold a free and fair election. So, why should we be worried (about it)?" he questioned.
