BD Women team beat Pakistan in 1st ODI

Hosts Bangladesh Women team made a good start in their cricket mission against Pakistan Women team beating the touring side by 43 runs in the first match of the two-match One Day International (ODI) series at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox's Bazar Tuesday, reports UNB.
Sent into bat first, Bangladesh Women team scored 152 runs for all in 49.3 overs.  Middle order Rumana Ahmed contributed the team's highest 44 runs off 75 balls with five boundaries while lower order Nuzhat Tasnia scored 26 runs off 30 balls with a four and number seven Shaila Sharmin made 22 runs.
Lata Mondol scored 10 runs off 31 balls with a four and later captured four wickets for 35 runs in her eight overs quota to be adjudged player of the match.
Qanita Jalil claimed three wickets for 26 runs in 10 overs while Nida Dar bagged two wickets for 19 runs and Asmavia Iqbal Khokhar, Sadia Yousuf and Sana Mir took one wicket each for 19, 25 and 33 runs respectively.
In reply to Bangladesh's 152 runs, Pakistan Women team were bundled out for 109 runs in 44.1 balls.
Lower order Asmavia Iqbal Khokhar scored 40 runs off 86 balls with five boundaries while number four Bismah Maroof made 15 runs off 17 balls with a four.
Apart from Lata Mondol's four-wicket haul, Jahanara Alam bagged three wickets for 22 runs, Salma Khatun took two wickets for 10 and Rumana Ahmed claimed one wicket for 23 runs.
