BD youths visit China

A delegation comprising 100 Bangladeshi youths visited China on the occasion of 40 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The delegation comprising members from colleges and universities, young entrepreneurs and government officials visited China from May 24 to May 30 last.
During the visit they were briefed about regional development strategies, the rise of China, change of dynasties in China, long march of Mao Tse-tung: ruler of Red China and production at factories along with their hygiene and safety measures.
Besides, briefing on Chinese development strategies, visit to historic places including the Great Wall and business strategy were also arranged for them.
"It was really an exciting visit to China. Being a student of international relations I have succeeded in acquiring practical knowledge on the development, civilisation, culture and nationalisation of China which helped us a lot in our study," Nafisa Islam, a delegate and student at the International Relations Department of Dhaka University, told the FE.
Shammiea Akter Shusmita, another delegation member and young woman entrepreneur, said the visit boosted her confidence.
