BDB, BJP, JP, LDP among 44 parties who collected forms for registration with EC

Fourteen more political parties collected forms Tuesday for registration with the Election Commission to qualify for the coming polls, raising the number to 44 so far, reports UNB.brThe prominent ones among the registration-seekers are Bikolpo Dhara Bangladesh (BDB), Jatiyo Party (Ershad), BJP, LDP, Gono Forum and BKSJL.brAmid objections from some major parties like Bangladesh Awami League and BNP, the registration of political parties with the EC under the revised Representation of People Order (RPO) began on August 27 and the last date for it is October 15.brOn the first day, none of the lot turned up to collect the forms for registration. However, on Thursday eight parties, Sunday 14 parties, Monday eight parties and Tuesday another 14 collected the forms.brThe 14 parties that collected registration forms on Tuesday are Bangladesh Krishak Sramik Awami League, Bangladesh Muslim League, Bangladesh Naya Samaj Dol, National Revolutionary Front (NRF), Islami Democratic Party, Jatiyo Nagorik Moncho, Bangladesh Liberal Democratic Party, Jonomukti Party, Bangladesh Labour Party, Bangladesh Jatiyo Party (BJP), Muktijoddha Jonota Dol, Bangladesh Nezam-e-Islam, Bangladesh Islami Biplobi Parishod and BDB.brThe parties that earlier collected the registration forms are Jatiyo Party (Ershad), Gono Forum, Jonotar Songhoti, Islamic Front Bangladesh, Bangladesh LLB, Zaker Party, Bangladesh Tariqat Federation, Bangladesh Muktijoddha Krishok-Sramik Oikya Jote, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish (Nuruzzaman), Forward Party, Public Party, Pakmon People's Party (PPP) and Samajik Rajnoitik Andolon.
