BDBL AGM held

The 4th Annual General Meeting of the shareholders of Bangladesh Development Bank Ltd (BDBL) was held Tuesday at the Bank’s Head office, Dhaka with Prof. Santi Narayan Ghosh in the chair. Directors Dewan Nurul Islam MBA, FCA, Quazi Murshed Hossain Kamal, Md. Khalilur Rahman Siddiqui, Prof.Dr. Rustom Ali Ahmed, Advocate Md.Abdus Salam, Syed Aftear Hussain Pear, Md. Fayekuzzaman and Md. Mamun-Al-Rashid attended the meeting. Gokul Chand Dash, Addl. Secretary, Bank and Financial Institution Division, Ministry of Finance, Dr.Md.Zillur Rahman, Managing Director and Dina Ahsan, Deputy Managing Director were also present. BDBL earned a net profit of Tk.1.02 billion and recovered Tk. 4.98 billion in 2013. BDBL has no provision and capital shortfall. The Bank will pay Tk.100 million as dividend to the national exchequer, according to a statement.
