B'desh needs to promote CSR in industrial sectors

Won Young Hong, UNDP Assistant Country Director on Democratic Governance Cluster, said Wednesday Bangladesh needs to promote CSR activities in the industrial sectors in order to fight its image crisis.
"One of the main challenges before Bangladesh's international export is its bad image, spread to the world through local and international media," she said.
She said promotion of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and activities related to human rights preservation will be vital in restoring the country's image.
She was addressing at a roundtable discussion on Human Rights and the UN Global Compact, organised by Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI).
