B’desh opens hotline for citizens in Maldives

Bangladesh has opened a hotline for its citizens living in the Maldives after President Abdulla Yameen declared a state of emergency for 15 days, reports bdnews24.com.
Bangladeshis in Male have been asked to call the embassy on +9603320859 for any support.
The embassy also asked them not to stay outside unnecessarily and avoid gatherings such as rallies, meetings and processions.
About 100,000 Bangladeshis work in the Maldives. China, the United States and India issued travel advisories for the Maldives, a country of 400,000 people best known as a beach paradise for tourists.
