BDR mutiny suspect dies at DMCH

An arrested member of Bangladesh Rifles (BDR), renamed as Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), has died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), reports bdnews24.com.
Matiar Rahman (53), a havilder of 24 battalion of the paramilitary force, died around 2:15am Saturday, senior superintendent of Dhaka Central Jail Mohammad Touhidul Islam said.
Rahman, hailing from Ullapara in Sirajganj, was an accused in a case filed following the 2009 BDR mutiny at its Pilkhana headquarters, he said.
"As he (Rahman) fell ill, he was rushed to the DMCH, where doctors pronounced him dead," the jail official said.
