BDR recovers sarees in Jessore

JESSORE Sept 29: A team of 22 Rifle Battalion Tuesday recovered some 240 pieces Indian sarees of worth about Tk 1.8 million from Bittianchra along Benapole border at around 7:30am.
Putkhali BDR camp in-charge Emdadul Haq said, tipped off, the BDR raided an area near a water body at Bittianchra and seized the sarees in an abandoned condition. The sarees were taken from India through illegal way. None was arrested in this connection.
