BDR reorganisation ought to get highest priority
Tuesday, 2 June 2009
The border of Bangladesh remain unguarded because the virtually shattered BDR has to be rebuilt. Many officers from the army, on deputation, have not gone back to BDR. The BDR is patrolling the borders with fewer men and officers.
A prompt and proper reorganisation of BDR has become a matter of highest priority for Bangladesh. The task must be addressed with the greatest urgency and seriousness.
