BDRCS disburses cash among flood-hit people

RANGPUR, Sept 18 (BSS): Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) today disbursed cash money and relief goods among 200 flood-affected families of different remote Char villages of Gangachara and Kawnia upazilas of the district.
Rangpur unit of BDRCS under the supervision of its national headquarters in Dhaka and with the financial assistance of International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRCS) disbursed Tk 3,000 in cash and relief goods among each of the affected families.
In addition to Tk 3,000 in cash, each of the flood-affected families received one tarpaulin sheet, one big size Dettol soap, 550 gramme washing powder, one laundry soap, 250 gramme tooth powder, one tooth brush, one comb, one dozen of candle sticks, one dozen of big size match boxes, one packet of sanitary napkin, 500 gramme nylon rope and a plastic bag.
