BDT appreciates slightly at Bogra

BOGRA, Nov 17: The Bangladesh Taka (BDT) appreciated marginally against the US dollar at Bogra Thursday.
Following the Bangladesh Bank (BB) intervention in the inter-bank foreign exchange market by selling US dollar to commercial banks, the exchange rate of BDT on the day was getting slightly higher than that of the previous week.
According to local money changers, last week the US dollar, against the BDT was bought at Tk 69.50 and sold at Tk 70.50 respectively.
The money exchangers expressed the hope that because of the Bangladesh Bank's new initiative the BDT would appreciate more.
