BEA slams police attack on Prof Anu Muhammad

Bangladesh Economic Association (BEA) Friday condemned the 'vicious' police assault on its life member Professor Anu Muhammad. Economist Muhammad was injured Wednesday when police swooped on the activists of the National Committee to Protect Oil, Gas, Mineral Resources, Power and Ports during a rally in the capital, said a BEA statement signed by its President Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad and General Secretary Professor Abul Barakat. The association demanded immediate arrest of the people responsible for the attack. — FE Report
