Beacon AGM approves 16pc cash dividend

The 21st annual general meeting (AGM) of Beacon Pharmaceuticals Limited was held on a digital platform on Tuesday, says a press release.
Chairman of the company Nurun Nahar Karim presided over the meeting attended by Managing Director Mohammad Ebadul Karim, Director Md Niazul Karim, Independent Directors Mohammad Sanaullah and Major M A Hossain, CFO Md Abdul Haque Sarder and Company Secretary Khalilur Rahman.
Members participated in the meeting approved 16 per cent cash dividend for the year ended June 30, 2022.
Chairman of the company Nurun Nahar Karim, in her address, mentioned that 2021-2022 was a sucessful year for the company in terms of business and profitability.
In 2022, sales increased by 12.66 per cent over the last year. Operating profit also went up by 5.01 per cent and net profit after tax increased by 8.32 per cent to Tk 935 million, while earnings per share saw an increase of 8.29 per cent. A large number of members participated in the meeting.
