LAHORE, Jan 26 (Business Recorder): Bearish sentiments dominated on the Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) Monday and the equities registered decline amid ascending transaction volume under the lead of oil and banking sectors on account of selling pressure.
The LSE-25 index lost 31.61 points and was ended at 3021.43 against 3053.04 of last Friday while trading turnover was increased to 14.688 million shares as compared to previous volume of 12.854 million shares.
The market opened on a mixed note and marginally improved during early hour of trading. However, it could not sustain and started declining soon after the commencement of business. The market did not find any support at any level because of the investors' behaviour, who kept on offloading of their stocks to get out of the market to secure their positions.
