FE Report
Beef is now available at Taka 155 a kilogram at Agora, country's first and largest chain superstore which launched a "Weeklong Haat" on Thursday (November 8).
All through the 'haat' week, many other consumer items, including rice, pulse, onion, sugar, edible oil and fish, will be sold at discounted rates.
Encouraged by the successful operation of its most popular "Value Week" programme, Rahimafrooz Superstores Ltd, the owning company of Agora, introduced the 'haat' programme.
The 'haat' programme is being run at Agora's two outlets -- Rifles Square-Dhanmondi and Moghbazar -- out of its three outlets.
During the week, buyers will get a discount of Taka 15 for purchase of five kg Najirsail rice, Taka 10 for buying five kg onion or potato, Taka 8.0 for three kg pulse or Greenfield brand sugar, Taka 20 for large- or medium-size 'ruhi', 'pangas', 'ayir' or telapia fish, and Taka 30 for 2.5 litres of Sunflower brand edible oil.
A wide range of Garnier brand body-care products, including Garnier Colour Natural, Garnier Wrinkle Control Cream, Garnier Body C. Moisturising Lotion, Garnier Comfort (Cold Cream), and Garnier Essential Moisturising Cream, will be available at discounted prices during the week.
The buyers will also get a 500 ml bottle of RC Cola free against purchase of a 2-litre RC Cola bottle.
The Weeklong Haat will continue up to November 14. After the end of the programme, Agora will run a weeklong "Meat & Vegetable Fair" from November 15, and a weeklong "Winter Pitha (Cake) Fair" from November 22.
