Beef from Pakistan reaches to 100 stores across Malaysia

ISLAMABAD, Feb 24 (APP): The first consignment of Pakistani beef has now reached around 100 Hyper market stores in Malaysia, much to the delight of the Malaysian consumers. Managing Director of Jejak Bakat SDN Zain Poteh, the importer of Pakistani beef said he expects to continue importing 25,000 Kg of beef every two weeks, keeping in view the encouraging response from the Malaysian consumers. Addressing a launching ceremony, he said second consignment of beef meat from Pakistan to Malaysia was on its way. The beef exported from Pakistan to Malaysia comes from young cows of the Cholistani breed, an indigenous species of Pakistan and Punjab Province. The animals slaughtered are around 24 months old and are de-boned according to International Cut Standards. The beef is packed hygienically and exported in temperature controlled cool-chain containers to Malaysia. The ceremony was attended by the high commissioner for Pakistan in Malaysia Masood Khalid, Chairman, Pakistan Malaysia Joint Business Council Dato Salim Bin Fateh Din, State Minister for Religious Affairs Penang, Haji Abdul Malik Kassim, Director and Officers of Hyper Market.
