Being miser during pandemic!

Tuesday, 15 September 2020

After initial generosity shown by a good number of people, there is now a scarcity of it in providing assistance to the economic victims of Covid-19 and floods. Perhaps, these generous people have hardly anything to offer when many of them are also struggling. Some other people, however, have some surplus cash and if they want, they can come to help the helpless people during the current crisis.
Unfortunately, a section of people has completely withdrawn themselves from social activities confining themselves in their homes amassing a lot of groceries. In fact, this is the time when good souls are supposed to share whatever resources they have with the 'have-nots' in society. In this age of consumerism and unhealthy competition, such affluent people are scared of uncertain future.
Question may arise if their money would be able to save them in case of dangers like corona infection or any other deadly disease. Even in dangers, risks can be shared if people join hands with each other. Some people forget human beings are made to be inter-dependent.
