Benefits of drinking warm water
Monday, 3 September 2018
From Indian Ayurveda to ancient Chinese medicine, almost all traditional medical systems have confirmed that drinking warm water is best for human health. Modern science has proven that this is somewhat true. It has been discovered that cold water disturbs the digestive system of human beings. When a person drinks cold water, his or her body tries to regulate body temperature instead of digesting food.
On the contrary, medical professionals believe that having warm water is great for internal 'cleansing'. Warm water helps to regulate bowel movement, prevents constipation and helps human skin to glow. Warm water helps to kick start metabolism as well.
In China, people drink warm water all the time as it is an ancient tradition that helps in warding off many diseases. Warm water also helps prevent phlegm accumulation. Where water with room temperatures takes around six hours to be absorbed into the human body, warm water takes only half that time.
