Bengal Commercial Bank appoints KM Awlad Hossain as new MD

K. M. Awlad Hossain has been appointed as the managing director (MD) of Bengal Commercial Bank with effect from Thursday, according to a press release.
Earlier, he served as the additional managing director and chief business officer (CBO) of the bank. He joined Bengal Commercial Bank in 2021 as deputy managing director (DMD) and CBO. He has been playing a key role in achieving the business goals of Bengal Commercial Bank since its inception.
Before joining Bengal Commercial Bank, KM Awlad Hossain served as the DMD of Dutch Bangla Bank. During his 17-year tenure with the bank he held several key leadership positions including chief business officer, chief operating officer, head of branch business and branch head.
Mr Hossain started his career as a senior officer in Agrani Bank.
He has achieved bachelor's and master's degree in Economics from Jahangirnagar University and an MBA from North South University.
