BEPZA board meet reviews country's economy

Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) Board of Governors in its 30th meeting at the Prime Minister' s Office Sunday discussed various issues, prospects and problems of the country's economy, trade and business, reports UNB.
The meeting, with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair, also discussed the ways of "stimulating rapid economic growth of the country".
From the meeting of the governing body of the country's export-based special economic zones, all authorities concerned were directed to ensure a congenial investment climate in the country.
The meeting approved the minutes of the 29th board meeting of the BEPZA.
Finance Minister Dr Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Planning Minister Air Vice-Marshal (retd) A K Khandaker, Industries Minister Dilip Barua, State Minister for Labour and Employment Begum Monnujan Sufian were, among others, present.
