BERC chair quits

Md Nurul Amin has resigned as the chairman of the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC).
He submitted his resignation letter to President Mohammed Shahabuddin on Tuesday, citing personal reasons. He was appointed as the BERC chairman on March 21, 2023.
BERC general employees issued a 24-hour ultimatum last Tuesday, demanding the immediate resignation of the commission's chairman and members.
