Monday, 24 November 2014
One of the most admired names in Bangladesh Cricket is Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, popularly known as 'Narail Express'. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is now the captain of Bangladesh national cricket team for one day internationals & T20's. He made his debut in the national side in late 2001 against Zimbabwe and represented Bangladesh before having played a single first-class match. Mortaza captained Bangladesh team in one Test and seven One Day Internationals (ODIs) between 2009 and 2010, but injury kept him in and out of the side.
He sustained injury a number of times and had to go for surgery as many as ten times on his knees and ankles. He missed the 2011 World Cup due to injury he described as "the most painful day" of his life. He had so many injuries that every time people thought this might be the end of his career and he may not come back again to play cricket at the national level. But every time he proved everyone wrong and came back strongly with his hard work and determination. His honesty, friendliness and attachment with the team members always earned him admiration from all and sundry in cricket. His self-confidence and aggression on the field is an inspiration not only for the team members but also for the whole nation following him. His dedication and determination to come back every time he was injured, is a source of inspiration for others. He has unquestionable honesty and integrity and his hard work and amiable disposition shall always inspire the aspiring cricketers. He has now come back as an integral part of Bangladesh Cricket Team and has been announced the captain once again. He has staged an excellent comeback and proved his worth as a leader once again. Mashrafe will lead Bangladesh Cricket Team for the remaining ODI matches against Zimbabwe. The whole nation is with him and the team of Tigers. His captaincy is very crucial at this period, because very soon the BCB is going to appoint the leader to lead the Bangladesh Cricket Team in the ICC World Cup 2015. Mashrafe has already proved his worth to the nation and rest of the cricketing world, as a leader and he can be the ideal choice for the job. We hope, he will get the opportunity to lead the team and wish him all the best as captain of the national team.
