Betar, BBC sign deal on British radio transmission

Bangladesh Betar and British Broadcasting Corpora-tion (BBC) Wednesday signed an agreement on broadcast of BBC programmes on FM transmitter.
Director General (DG) of Bangladesh Betar M Mahbubul Alam and BBC Bangla Service Chief Sabir Mostafa signed the deal on behalf of their respective sides.
Information Secretary M Didarul Anwar was also present at the signing ceremony.
"With the signing of the deal, listeners from Dhaka and adjoining areas can hear the British radio programmes from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon and 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm on FM 100 MHz until July 2010," said an official handout.
