Betar's ex-DG Ashrafuzzaman passes away

Ashrafuzzaman Khan, former director general of Bangladesh Betar, died in the city Friday at his Tejkunipara house. He was 97, reports UNB.
He died due to old age ailment at 1.20 pm. He is survived by one son.
A close associate of Bangabandhu, Khan quit the then Radio Pakistan in protest as the authorities did not broadcast Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib's historic speech of March 7, 1971.
Late Khan was a litterateur and dramatist. He was born in 1911 in Mymenshingh.
He was buried at Banani graveyard after Esha prayer.
