Better luck next time, Tigers!

Thursday, 6 March 2014

The Bangladesh Cricket Team has been passing bad times. It failed to win so many matches despite being so close to victory. Pakistan's newbie Ahmed Shehzad's fifth ODI century set it up well for Pakistan team when it came out in the reply of tiger's mammoth 326 runs. Pakistan needed a miraculous innings from Fawad Alam and Shahid Afridi. When the pair was on the crease, their team needed 102 runs in 52 balls.
The proportion seemed like scaling Mount Everest for Pakistan and we, the Bangladeshi fans, were salivating for a much-coveted win. But it was not going to be so and we can blame no one but hard-hitting flamboyant Pakistani batsman Afiridi.
I am sure there are many Bangladeshis who love to see Afirdi hitting balls hard but not on that day. Bangladesh played all the way very good but when Afridi's bat shines, who can resist? Still I believe tigers played their finest match and they fought till the end bravely. Bangladesh can take heart even from the defeat. Although I was feeling sad after this heartbreaking defeat, I was proud of tigers.
