BFF strikes Tk 45m deal with Bashundhara Group

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Sunday signed a Tk 45 million (Tk 4.5 crore) agreement with Bashundhara Group for the development of country's grassroots football, reports UNB.
Apart from the large sum of money, BFF also got a surprise gift from the industrial and commercial enterprise, Bashundhara Group, which announced during the signing ceremony that it would give BFF two playgrounds for the development of country's football.
The two grounds, 10-bigha each, one in Baridhara residential area and the other at Buriganga River View project are worth Tk 2.0 billion (Tk 200 crore).
Instantly, the BFF announced its plan to set up a football training centre on the plot gifted in Baridhara residential area and a football stadium with 10,000-15,000 capacity in the River View project.
BFF president Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin and Bashundhara group chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides at a function at the Kurmitola Golf Club.
Army Chief and National Sports Council (NSC) chairman Gen Moeen U Ahmed was present as the chief guest at the signing ceremony.
