Former national booter Manik will act as national coach until the Merdeka Cup Football to be held in Malaysia in October. However, his contract with BFF might be extended depending on his performance.
National football coach Abu Mohammad Yousuf earlier quit from his post after the team's debacle in the 5th SAFF championship co-hosted by Sri Lanka and Maldives in June this year.
