BFIDC earns Tk 543.4m from rubber in last 2 years

Bangladesh Forest Development Industries Corporation (BFIDC) earned Taka 543.6 million by selling rubber, harvested in its seven gardens, during the last two years. During the period from July 2005 to October 2007, BFIDC produced 5,692 tonnes of rubber, and sold the same to earn the money, officials said. Of the total output, nearly 1927.03 tonnes of rubber were harvested in the 2005-2006 fiscal, 2002.74 tonnes in 2006-2007, and the remaining 512 tonnes were produced in the first four months of the current fiscal year. — BSS
