BGB-BSF flag meeting held

LALMONIRHAT, March 5(BSS): A sector commander level flag meeting between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) was held yesterday at Kuchlibari, India along the Tin Bigha Corridor on Lalmonirhat frontier.
The meeting, first of its kind following the director general [DG] level agreement between the BGB and BSF, was aimed at implementing the plan of coordinated border management.
The meeting had a fruitful discussion on the progress of the agreement, stopping harassment in the name of searching vehicles run through Tin Bigha Corridor, taking action against criminals after identifying them and strengthening border patrol to check smuggling.
