BGB-BSF sector commander level meeting held

CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Dec 10 (BSS): A coordination meeting at sector commanders level between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) was held at Sonamasjid land port under Shibganj Upazila in Chapainawabganj district today. The meeting started at 11.00am in the conference room of the Sonamasjid Clearing and Forward Agents Association and continued for about two hours. The six-member team of BGB was led by Rajshahi Sector Commander Colonnel Ehia Azam Khan and the eight-member team of BSF was headed by DIG of Malda sector of BSF Amarjit Sing, BGB sources said. Commanding Officer (CO) of 39 BGB Battalion Lieutenant Colonnel Jahangir Hossain said the discussion was peaceful and cordial. Different issues like drugs and arms smuggling, human trafficking, killing of Bangladeshis along the border were discussed at the meeting, he added.
