BGB detain youth with gold bars in Kushtia

KUSHTIA, Oct 09 (UNB): Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained a young man with seven gold bars from Katlamari area under Amla Sadarpur union in Mirpur upazila on Wednesday.
The detainee is Ripon (30), son of Khorshed Alam hailing from Mirzapur upazila of Tangail district.
On secret information, a BGB team stopped a Meherpur-bound bus of JR Paribahan and detained Ripon, said Md Rafiqul Alam, commanding officer of BGB Kushtia Battalion-47.
