BGB man injured by smugglers

JHENIDAH, Oct 25 (UNB): A member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was critically injured allegedly by smugglers along Baghadanga frontier in Maheshpur Upazila Tuesday noon. The injured was identified as Lance Nayek Ohidul Islam of BGB intelligence branch. Lt Col Sultan Ahmed, commanding officer of BGB-35 battalion, said Ohid challenged some people who were moving along the border suspiciously at around 12.00 noon. At one stage, the smugglers chopped him indiscriminately, leaving him severely injured.
